Christ's wounded hand
While we were praying in preparation for a Sunday service in Painesville, OH, I had a tremendous open vision. I saw, what looked like a wound (like one made by a bullet.) After closer examination I became aware that in fact it was the wound caused by the nail when they crucified Jesus. I was seeing Christ's hand, specifically that wound that left a hole in His hand.

In the vision, the Lord's hand moved over my eyes and covered it completely. I could not see anything but through the wound in Christ's hand. I became aware of something truly amazing. Whatever I looked at, through the hole in His hand, was complete, healed and whole. There was an absolute absence of brokenness, sickness, pain and lack! At first I could only look through the wound with one eye, but then I started to grow smaller and the Hand started to increase in size, along with the wound. When I was small enough I was able to see through the wound with both eyes. What I saw was life perfected through the wound in the Lord's hand. I could step through the wound and saw all those who received healing because of the wounds and bruises and strips Jesus sustained on the cross.

The Lord gave me a deep revelation of what this vision means. We are to draw so close to Him that we look at everything through the wounds in His hands. We are to gaze at His completed work, the very essence of Who He is. When all we can see is Him, life's challenges are all met in absolute Divine abundance.

Life alone is broken at best. There are many disappointments, failures, sicknesses, hurts, destructions, criticisms and shortcomings. But when you look at life through the wounds of Christ it is completely restored to what God intended it to be. The picture becomes complete. Sickness and pain make way for health and healing. Failure and disappointment make way for victory and satisfaction. Destruction makes way for construction. Needs are replaced with the supply of abundant life.

Do you get the picture? Life must be lived through the wounds of Christ. His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary must be the starting place for all life endeavors. Without this revelation we will never reach our full and complete destiny.

Allow the Lord today to touch you with His nail-scarred hand! Allow Him to leave His fingerprints, His loving touch on your life. Let Him cover your eyes from the destruction of the world and enable you to see life through the wound in His hand!
