My
frame was not hidden from
You when I was being formed
in secret [and] intricately
and curiously wrought [as if
embroidered with various
colors] in the depths of the
earth [a region of darkness
and mystery]. Your eyes saw
my
unformed substance,
and in Your book all the
days [of my life] were
written before ever they
took shape, when as yet
there was none of them.
Ps 139:15-16

Substance: Raw Potential
-
You were born with raw
potential, an unharnessed
power that will shape your
existence, propel you
towards your divine destiny
and define your imprint in
this life. God placed in you
your substance; a complex
density. You are not hollow.
You did not come into this
world empty. When you were
born your spirit-man has
already been prepped to be
able to face every
challenge, navigate every
obstacle, resist every
temptation and embrace every
opportunity that would
present itself to you
through the course of your
life.

Your substance represent
your life-potential;
everything you will be able
to accomplish with your ever
developing natural abilities
and giftings. Your DNA was
programmed with substance to
define your natural
development. But that is not
all! You are so much more
than just a natural being.
You are a spirit, you have a
soul and you live in a body.
God not only placed this
substance in your body, He
also prepped your soul and
spirit for life before you
were born. This substance
includes a measure of faith
(Romans 12:3) which gives
you, along with all members
of the human race the
ability to believe. Faith is
powerful (Mark 10:52) , it
pleases God. (Hebrews
11:6). "Now faith is the
substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things
not seen." Hebrews 11:1 NKJV.
You also carry a prophetic
promise that is part of your
substance. (2 Pet. 1:19) It
is connected to your spirit,
activated through obedience
and possess the ability to
raise your success levels in
life to supernatural levels
to honor God through you.
Not only will you be able to
accomplish things beyond
your natural ability, you
will be able to display
God's divine nature to a
lost and hopeless world
while stirring faith in
people's souls.

Your substance is a
gathering of components that
will serve you well
throughout your time here on
earth. It was packaged in
you, but have to be put
together, assembled and
formed into all they could
be. Apart and without form
your substance remains mere
potential; an "unformed
substance", but fashioned
and formed into what God
intended it to be it will
cause you to step into your
divine destiny and beyond!

Form: Substance made
visible
-
Formed substance is a
visible appearance of raw
potential. Form gives order
to substance. It places
potential in workable array.
It causes a working together
of things in your life. Form
is directional, intentional
and revelational.
Directional in that it
channels your substance
towards your destiny. It
shapes your potential
towards defined success.
Intentional in that nothing
constructive ever happens
automatically. Everything is
set according to God's
specific and detailed plans
for the Believer's life.
Form becomes the assembly
instructions to properly
un-package the substance
your carry in you.
Revelational in that form
reveals the true nature of
what God really placed in
you. It reveals which
direction to take in life
and what you can become in
reaching your destiny.

Form gives you a look at how
God sees you. Think of
Ezekiel in the valley of dry
bones. (Eze. 37)The Lord
asked the prophet if these
many bones can live again.
Ezekiel's answer is a
classic: Oh Lord God You
know! In the prophet's eyes
the multitude of dry bones
lacked both substance and
form. They represented a
mere memory of life that
once was. Yet, God saw them
clothed in both substance
and form. He told Ezekiel to
prophecy to the dry bones.
Immediately the bones
responded to the declared
word. They came together
each bone to its proper
place; the start of form.
Then sinews, muscles, flesh
and skin formed around and
over the bones. The forming
was now complete. The bones
had the potential to become
a mighty army, but life was
still lacking! All form but
no substance! God breathed
into the them and life
happened. Substance and form
met with amazing results.

Some people are all form and
no substance. Makes me think
of 2 Tim 3:5: For
[although] they hold a
form of piety (true
religion), they deny and
reject and are strangers to
the power of it [their
conduct belies the
genuineness of their
profession]. Avoid [all]
such people [turn away from
them]. AMP Others are
all substance and no form.
They revel in the divine
promise in them, but fail to
express that potential in a
way that is beneficial to
greater humanity. They are
so spiritual minded that
they are indeed no earthly
good. They received the
power but refuse to share it
with the world. (Acts 1:8)

Let's pray for two things to
happen in our lives:
-
May our substance be
unearthed, discovered,
exposed, identified and
refined according to the
perfect, declared and
complete will of God for our
lives. And then may we be
able to position our lives
to be formed into the shape
that will complement and
harmonize with the substance
in us. May we be flexible
and fluid enough to allow
God's substance to find
maximum expression in our
lives so we can indeed be a
blessing to everyone we
interact with in life.
